About “Empty Reflection”
We’ve all heard the phrase “empty suit” - someone who seems to hold promise but can’t produce. Empty Reflection takes that phrase to a different level, representing a politician who seems to hold a lot of promise - and certainly makes a lot of promises - but is, in reality, a mere reflection of the real thing.
Brock Auzman is a vibrant, charismatic politician that everyone instantly loves, but does anyone really know him? He doesn’t even know himself, and those who might have the answer to his past are working hard at keeping it secret, for good reason. Though they know where he came from, they don’t know what that information might do to him, or his political career. Better to let him keep moving forward than to ever let him know his past.
Brock was truly someone special, and his best friend John Turner recognized it from their first meeting. The two young men came from different worlds, but it had to be more than fate that brought them together, and kept them working toward a goal that seemed impossible to John.
But John also sees that there might be a problem. Brock is special, but exactly what is it that makes him that way? John suspects there might be more to his friend’s past than meets the eye, and what he sees frightens him. It should.
